I decided to upgrade from the more common Railroad Track Anvil to a heavier, more workable chunk of metal. I present to you....THE BRIDGE STYLE ANVIL. I made this from two pieces of 10" lengths of railroad track which sits upon a 1" thick railroad bracket. This in total weighs 43 pounds, which is a big upgrade from the old anvil which was at around 15 pounds. It has a face of 4.5"x 10" and is 7" tall.
I already have big plans for this guy, including forge welding a tool steel plate on the top, and adding onto the base a 2" layer of lead encased by welded plate steel. All in all, I would like this anvil to weigh somewhere in the 80-100 pound range.

Enjoy!
