The EGR dust defence kit is honestly the best quality tailgate seal I've ever seen. There are other cheaper options that stick on, but anything that sticks will unstick. This seal is a pinch weld seal the same as vehicle doors use, its additionally secured on the top, side and base with additional fixings. This will fail you about the same time your door seals fail you, if installed at new. All seals have a lifespan, and this one is a solid decade or more.

The X-Terrain roll cover has a seal along the top when closed, similar to a canopy top for the tub does. This just finishes off the job.

The best thing IMHO if using your tub, but wanting it sealed, is to run a torch around the inside, with someone on the outside, and anywhere they can see light, seal it further. That will ensure minimal headaches for you whenever you open your tailgate. Just my opinion though and how I do stuff.
