Man you haven't lived until you have weighed in for the world and realized you take your pants off before stepping on the scale as a habit...with a camera rolling. Add it to the many things that makes me weird! That little embarrassing self discovery aside this week features my first weigh in since starting phentermine to get my weight under control.

To say I was shocked by the amount of weight I lost in one week is an understatement. I'm thrilled with the progress so far.

The meat of this week's vlog though isn't really about the weight loss, so much as it is about the feelings of self doubt that creeped up in me once I realized I was going to be weighing myself for the world to see. Reflecting on my past I quickly realized the last time I felt this level of self doubt was around the time of my diagnosis with Crohn's disease.

Back in the early days of my diagnosis I was susceptible to all sorts of medical misinformation because I was too new to know what I didn't know. On my most recent episode of Gut Instinct, my podcast all about living and thriving with a chronic illness, my dear friend @AuthorMorganLee talked about her journey with Crohn's disease. During that discussion Morgan shared a point in her Crohn's story, she stopped taking her meds due to a form of medical misinformation that stems from extreme religious beliefs. This discussion, along with my feelings of self doubt over my weigh ins inspired this video about how I combat self doubt while focusing on my 'why.'
