The story revolves around a married couple (Vishnu and Sarla Gupta) and Vishnu's peculiar superstition.

Vishnu, a real estate agent in his mid 30's has a successful career but gives all the credit to his superstitious beliefs; which his wife, Sarla is completely fed up with. When he finally has the most ridiculous superstition, Sarla decides to make him realise his folly..
