This is a clip from the 1964 Metrocolor movie "Get Yourself A College Girl." Astrud Gilberto plays herself and she is backed by Stan Getz with the Stan Getz Quartet. The original Stan Getz recording featuring the vocal debut of Astrud Gilberto became an international hit. It had been recorded in March 1963 and it was released in March 1964. The bossa nova song was on the album "Getz/Gilberto" featuring Stan Getz, João Gilberto, Astrud Gilberto & Antonio Carlos Jobim. In the US, the single peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it went to #1 for two weeks on the Easy Listening chart in the summer of 1964.
