At Harborview Medical Center’s COVID-19 ICU, these are the new challenges that nurses take on every day during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the stress and uncertainty, they find strength in the importance of their work.

“I knew what I was getting into, and I chose it,” one nurse explains. “I was meant to be a nurse.”
