For the past 10 to 20 years, companies have witnessed a dive in engagement levels in the workforce, impacting results and increasing costs.

Since Millennials stormed the workplace, companies have tried to use gamification as a way to engage them and get better results. However, Gartner's famed prediction that most gamification solutions would fail has, to the industry's dismay, mostly been accurate.

Why is that? Mainly due to two reasons: cookie-cutter design and lack of follow-through.

The projects that achieve mid-to-long-term success are bespoke solutions co-created with the users and that are constantly evolving - like World of Warcraft, which has stayed at the top of the gaming industry since 2004 by constantly reinventing itself and growing along with the players.

How can we do that in the gamification domain in a scalable way? With AI.

By leveraging existing know-how in game design and gamification in the employee engagement domain, as well as employee development benchmarks, we can provide companies with AI-powered Game Masters that can not only deliver immediate engagement mechanics but also learn, autonomously, when and how to adapt to each employee's path and emotional drivers, to maximize growth.

In a time where engagement is at a premium and working paradigms are shifting in drastic ways, gamification needs to grow up and deliver on its promise.

We'll talk about how it can and is already beginning to do that, and the role AI can and needs to play in that change.
