I would like to mount my TV directly in the center of two windows in our basement. There is only one stud available where I would like to mount my TV (shown here) and I'm finding mixed answers on what the best route is. The mount has a little play where I can move my TV to the left or the right on it to make it center if the mount itself is off center, so I should be able to put the screws on one side into the central stud, but I'm not sure the best route to go with the other side.

I would prefer to do things the correct or most safe way.

What would you guys recommend for mounting my TV? My wife would prefer the wall looks just like it does now or at least gives us the ability to make it look the same if we ever move the TV.
