Xiaomi has recently showcased its first-ever electric vehicle - the SU7, at Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona. Instead of launching an affordable EV for the masses, Xiaomi's first EV is a Porsche Taycan Turbo challenger that can get from 0-100km/h in just 2.78 seconds.

The Xiaomi SU7 Max has a dual-motor AWD setup delivering 664hp and 838Nm of torque. The performance sedan is also packed with over 10 HD cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, mmWave radar and a LiDAR module which enables self-driving features. Running on HyperOS, the Xiaomi SU7 aims to offer a seamless connected experience with Xiaomi's ecosystem of IoT devices.

Xiaomi has not shared plans of releasing the SU7 outside of China or even for the Malaysian market. The question is, would you buy an EV that has a Xiaomi badge on it?
