Just like coming close to the Ark of the Covenant was extremely dangerous, likewise, extreme levels of piety is expected to step in close proximity to Imam Mahdi, otherwise his radience will be fatal for you. In other words, most are not pious enough to see nor come near him. Beware of online individuals giving false oaths or claims about observing Imam Mahdi through dreams. Furthermore, Imam Mahdi does not get knowledge via dreams - he gets direct knowledge, as described in Holy Hadith of a Servant's senses being elevated by Allah (awj).
