Do you ever thought of memorize quran and then just counldnt achieve it. Well let me tell you a story of 19 year old girl named Amina Saeed who had always dreamed of making an achievement in Islamic studies, that she decided to memorise the Quran and participate in international contests to fulfill her dream.
She knew very little about the quran compared to her collegues. But she too this as a challenge and got Motivated by her 25 brothers and sisters, who memorise parts of Quran, she outperformed them and managed to memorise the entire holy book in just 100 days. It ofcourse wasn’t easy
She declared a state of Jihad upon her soul and put death before her eyes. She made an intention to memorise the Noble Qur’aan. So she abandoned all unnecessary talks and activities, and she changed all the negative thoughts associated with (memorisation) to positive and practical ones e.g. When a thought came to her saying ‘I can’t do it!’ she would say, ‘I can do it.’ If it said, ‘My memory is weak!’ she would say ‘I take pleasure in having a great memory.’
She have spent an average 12 hours a day in an intensive Quran memorisation course until she memorised it all in just 100 days.
Amina was sure she would excess in the contest but had not expected she would outperform all other participants from 15 countries.
she got the top position in the contest in Jordan and she is proud to make this achievement for her country. Mashaallah
If she can do it why not you? It may seem hard at first, even she found it very hard to memorise. She began off with 3 lines then 5 lines for the 30th, 29th juz. After that it was a half of page and then a page of 16 lines. Once you get used to the techniques of memorisation, memorisation will not be hard. You would find it easier.
All it take is your will power to do it. For ameena,The hardest times for her were when it came to sleeping and eating. She wished that the period of sleep would end quickly so that I could start my memorisation of the Noble of Qur’aan. Everytime she began to read the Qur’aan and memorise, she felt such delight and enjoyment that she had never felt before.
So let me remind you guys”
“The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.”
