GUBI is shining a light on local craftspeople to celebrate 90 years of Bestlite. Emilie Helmstedt is a Danish fashion designer who in 2018 launched her first collection, Oceania SS19 – inspired by H.C. Andersen’s The Princess and The Pea. “My grandma was a big inspiration and a typical ‘do-it-yourself’ craftswoman. She used to make huge wall hangings and always told me I could do anything I wanted ”. To Emilie, Bestlite is best described with one word: Elegance.
