For YEARS I’ve heard that Capital One has a 2 Card Limit, meaning you cannot get approved for more than 2 Capital One credit cards and have them all open at the same time. Then I heard that this rule only applied to personal Capital One credit cards and excluded co-branded cards. More recently, when I asked a Capital One representative if the 2 Card Limit was a thing, I was told no.

So, which of these are true, if any?

Well, perhaps some, all, or none were true at certain points in time.

However, I was curious to know what the reality was as of November 2022.

I already had 3 active Capital One credit cards…
(2 personal credit cards, 1 business credit card):
- Capital One Venture
- Capital One Venture X
- Capital One Spark Cash Select (1.5% cash back credit card with no annual fee)

For a while now, I’ve had my eye on the Capital One SavorOne credit card.

For a $0 annual fee, you earn the following rewards…

- 10% Uber / Uber Eats (plus an Uber One membership) - both through 11.14.2024
- 8% Capital One Entertainment
- 8% Vivid Seats purchases
- 5% Hotels via Capital One Travel
- 5% Rental Cars via Capital One Travel
- 3% Dining
- 3% Entertainment
- 3% Popular Streaming Services
- 3% Grocery Stores
- 1% Other Purchases

It also currently has a welcome bonus of $200 cash back after spending $500 in the first 3 months.

That is A LOT of value, both up front in Year 1 and long term. In fact, it may be the (or one of the) best cash back credit cards ever made.

So, it’s time to test the Capital One 2 Card Limit by applying for this awesome card!
