Amanda Waller is at it again and this time it’s Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn behind the camera. To take on the must not fail mission with expendable operatives Task Force X has dug really deep in the toybox in order to find the worst of the worst in a whole new definition of that phrase. Outside of Harley Quinn the next biggest name is King Shark. Rather than a who’s who of villainy in the pages of DC it’s a veritable ‘Who’s that?’ But just because they’re d-list characters with very little in terms of appearances that doesn’t mean that they aren’t a deadly group. A man sized weasel is both ridiculous and horrifying. A boomerang might be a fun way to play catch with yourself, but it has a long history as a weapon and in the right hands it can still be deadly. There are more than a few former soldiers turned bad guys or at least bad good guys to keep a dozen bullet makers in business for years. This new squad of suicidal adventurers is set to take on a threat to the entire world, but of course ARGUS’s hands are dirty enough that it’s not a job for the Justice League. When the morality is questionable and survivability low, you get the weirdest of the worst. Men with polka dots, a shark demigod, a guy with a literal thinking cap, all set to join Harley Quinn and Colonel Flagg for another mission where not everyone will return.
