In this video, I discuss the current movement to build shipcoins (altcoins) on Bitcoin, and how Bitcoin Magazine and David Bailey's other companies fit into this ecosystem.

To be blunt, it's a really bad look, with lots of conflicts of interest.

The Bitcoin Mag and Bitcoin Conference side provides legitimacy to JPEGs and tokens and SOB by "fostering open debate and discussion"--

While the other arm of David Bailey's empire invests in these scammy projects, selling rare sats, NFTs, while helping to build the infrastructure for new scams through projects like BOB.

This is a very stinky cheese indeed. Doing unethical things with Bitcoin, or on top of Bitcoin, doesn't shower you with magical Bitcoin pixie dust that absolves you of your bad behavior.

If you are a flagship media and investment property in Bitcoin, I think that you need to be held to a higher standard.
