It may be over 40 degrees for Thursday in south eastern inland parts of Australia but a cooler change moves in this weekend and next week - making it as far north as Queensland. At the same time Western Australia has more windy weather but also widespread showers and thunderstorms will dominate inland parts of the South Coast and the wheatbelt too.

For Victoria the weather stays mostly dry but some shower risks here and there - but another several dry days ahead for this through central and inland areas and towards SA.
