Kate Norley was born on May 25, 1978, in Virginia, USA and visited one of the best private boarding schools in her native state. When Kate was 16 years old a very unpleasant accident happened to her, she was riding a bicycle to a soccer training and was hit by a car. Norley had such a serious head injury that her cognitive abilities were damaged a lot. Kate had to re-learn to write and read from the very beginning. Fortunately, after a while, she was able to recover completely and successfully graduated from the university. The events that occurred in America on September 11 influenced Kate’s worldview so much that she could not stand aside and decided to enlist in the military. In 2003, she went to Iraq and spent 16 months there. Norley served as a medical officer. She was the only lady in the army who helped military soldiers combat stress and restore psychological health after the war.
As for her family, Kate’s father is Walter Norley. He is Chief Executive Officer in the OnLink company.
Kate’s mother’s name is Pamela Mannion. When the girl was 4, her parents divorced and her mother got married again.
Kate’s younger brother is Nelson Norley. He studied at Bucknell University and graduated in 2017.
Her younger sister is Grace. She entered Franklin & Marshall College in 2015.

Her husband is John Oliver who was born in 1977 in England in the family of a school principal and a music teacher. He is a well-known comedian in England and America, who during his entire career managed to work in numerous humorous projects. In 2014, the first episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver started. The show is still ongoing and is very popular.
Kate and her future husband met when Oliver worked on The Daily Show and covered the 2008 Republican Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. Norley also attended it as a member of Vets for Freedom. The woman helped John to hide from security and it was exactly the moment when their story started. Despite completely different political ideologies and life views (as we know She is a Republican and he is a Democrat) their sympathy grew into a strong relationship. The wedding of Norley and Oliver took place in 2011.
In 2015, the couple welcomed their firstborn, a boy named Hudson.
Three years later, Marlowe, their second son, came to the world.
