The Kenyan Wall Street and the Two Rivers International Finance & Innovation Centre (TRIFIC) Special Economic Zone hosted a breakfast during the Africa Tech Summit for startup founders, venture investors, and accelerators to welcome the opening of TRIFIC's Innovation Hub.

TRIFIC is a unique SEZ in Kenya being the only zone focused on business services companies.

The breakfast began with opening remarks by The Kenyan Wall Street founder, Erick Asuma. Erick then invited Brenda Mbathi (CEO, TRIFIC) to introduce what is a Special Economic Zone and give a high-level overview of what TRIFIC does.

Following Brenda's remarks, she welcomed the fireside chat moderator, Caleb Maru (Founder, TechSafari), to the stage. Caleb welcomed guests and brought the panelists to the stage. Panelists were: Dr. James Mworia (Group CEO, Centum Investments), Winnie Wambugu (Partner, Dalberg Implement), and Andrew Barden (Lead Organizer, Africa Fintech Summit).

Through the course of the conversation, guests learned about the ways startups and venture investors can utilize the TRIFIC SEZ to benefit from tax breaks, scale their businesses, and heighten their competitiveness with both foreign and domestic companies.
