In this week's episode of Heirs and Spares, Netflix release their long-awaited film Scoop which details Prince Andrew's infamous car-crash interview on BBC's Newsnight. Hosts Kinsey Schofield and Tessa Dunlop (standing in for Katie Nicholl), dive into the latest updates on the royal family on both sides of the Atlantic, with a focus on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California and the Prince and Princess of Wales in the UK.

The release of Scoop has brought the controversy surrounding Prince Andrew back into the public limelight. The interview, conducted by Emily Maitlis, famously included Andrew’s denial of sweating and his trip to Pizza Express with Princess Beatrice as an alibi and was based on the book Scoops, by Sam McAlister. It captures the tension behind booking the royal for the interview, as well as the tension among the cast during the interview. It has even been reported that Andrew was left "delighted" with Netflix's portrayal of him in a new film.

The hosts also discuss the health of Princess Catherine after her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. It comes after claims were made that the Prince and Princess of Wales are experiencing 'intense anxiety' at the prospect of becoming King and Queen after the passing of King Charles. Royal author Tina Brown, who wrote The Palace Papers, says the royal family is in the midst of a crisis, saying 'the future of the monarchy hangs by a thread, and that thread is her.'

They conclude by discussing whether Meghan is likely to join Prince Harry when he returns to the UK for up to a week to attend the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. It is unknown whether Meghan or their children will accompany her husband, but many hope that she will to show her 'compassionate' side.
