****In the video I mention that you are able to pay for the Model Y with a credit card and apparently that’s not an option. Sorry for the misinformation***
How much did you pay for your Tesla Model Y, if you don't mind me asking?

That's a question that I've heard so many times when showing our Tesla Model Y Performance to friends, coworkers and even random people. At least 2 neighbors have approached us asking general questions about our car. In today's video I'm going to answer that question.

We optioned our Tesla Model Y. We ordered the Performance which has a list price of $60909. We went with Pearl White which is included in the base price and the black and white interior which is another $1000. We didn't order the Full Self-Driving Capability because I strongly believe it is not Self-Driving to begin with and $10000 dollars is too much money for us. Autopilot is an amazing feature that we love a lot and it's enough for us.
There are other charges and sales tax added on top of that and in this video I cover these in detail. I also talk about all incentives available at the time of purchase. These can vary depending on where you live.

Can you negotiate the price of a Tesla Model Y? No. Negotiating the price of a Tesla is not even a thing. Is there a price difference if you order online vs ordering at the Tesla store? No.

Remember that Tesla Vehicles no longer qualify for the Federal Tax Credit. Keep that in mind when choosing to go electric. Other comparable vehicles from other brands still qualify for it like the Mustang Mach-E and the Toyota Mirai which is not electric, but hydrogen.

I live in California, San Diego, precisely so the total price of the car is affected by a combined tax rate of 7.75%
We put down $8931.98 and our monthly payment is $874.99

If we were to keep this vehicle for the duration of the loan we would have paid a total of 4596.28 in finance charges. The total cost of our purchase on credit after all 72 payments have been made would be $73531. Which may have you wondering how come we didn't just lease instead of buying which would have allowed us to pay way less per month with a more comfortable down payment. I also cover this on my video.
