Step behind the curtain to see the feats of research and technical innovation that made the ballroom dance scene in LAIKA’s The Boxtrolls so precise and beautiful. The filmmakers used carefully crafted costumes with metal rings and weighted fabrics to create natural swirling effects and referenced a live dance troupe to choreograph an intricate jigsaw puzzle of activity.
