In today's video I am taking part in the Oulton Park Young Drive Plus experience, which sees me take to the Cheshire circuit in a brand new BMW 116d, with fewer than 300 miles on the clock since new!
Just over a year ago I passed the first Young Drive test at Oulton Park in a Mini One, but since then the Minis have been phased out in favour of these brand new BMW 1 series cars.
This video focuses on my review of the Young Drive Plus experience, which continues on from the first young drive experience, but this time 11-17 year olds can take to the racetrack itself to be tested on more complex driving techniques, such as emergency stops, slaloms, parallel parking, 3-point turns, hill starts, using roundabouts and more, with a top speed of 50mph - although I may or may not have got up to 60mph on the main straight! ;)
I highly recommend the Young Drive and Young Drive Plus driving experiences for aspiring motorists and it was great fun having a go in the new BMW 116d.
