60 second cinematography creating an interior period drama scene for Rycotes new mics.

I needed to light for both the wide & close shots, capturing both simultaneously to save time.

However the real hero shot is seeing the Boom in frame for once!

We had two URSA G2s with a 75mm for the close and 35mm for wide, a pocket 4k captured the BTS style Hero shot.

The wood panelling of the dining room meant the light didn’t bounce around too much, acting as natural negative fill.

Large floor to cieling windows dominated the frame with a fairly hot sky, though not a huge level coming into the room.
I needed to wrap light a little further around to bring out the actors faces.

A pair of Aputure 600Ds behind a 2 by 2 Manfrotto diffusion frame, with an additional silk closer in to finesse the light for when the female talent is seated.

Additionally another 600D was fired into the cieling for a very subtle amount of room tone.

These lighting strokes balance out the window but still retain shape and contrast for both the close and wide.
The Final touch was a little atmosphere and a 1/4 Schneider Black magic filter, for some gentle blooming.
