Artificial intelligence has just revealed the best way to find advanced civilizations, and it's not by detecting far away signals, but rather searching local solar bodies in order to see if artifacts have been left behind.

One of the problems with sending out messages and flying to nearby planets, is that by the time we reach them the civilization that once inhabited them might be long gone. To put it into perspective, the distance between Earth and the gas giant Jupiter is around 600 million miles.
