Papua New Guinea and Air Niugini's longest-serving pilot has retired after 45 years and 21,000 hours in the Air.

Paun Nonggor-r flew his final flight from Brisbane to Port Moresby on Wednesday, landing at Jackson's Airport at 2pm.

Captain Nonggor-r is also the PNG's first Airline Jet Captain.
