ALTRO CEO Michael Broughton spoke with Forbes senior writer and editor, Jabari Young, about the startup’s $4 million raise from investors, including NBA star Chris Paul, former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch, and hip-hop star Quavo.

Broughton, 25, made the 2023 Forbes Under 30 list as the cofounder of the credit-building platform. Founded in 2019, Broughton told Forbes that the company has raised more than $20 million, including $250,000 from Jay-Z’s Marcy Ventures.
