- Yes, they can and do. There are numerous stories of spirits or Jinns that take a fancy to human beings and attach themselves much like humans try to do when they fall in love. A famous Muslim jurist who wrote a treaty on a Jinn named, the son of Tameya. The story goes that one day in Egypt, a man takes his wife to an Islamic exorcist (Raaqi).
