The UK Housing Market CRASH is set to continue with house prices predicted to make a SHOCKING move that is going to catch out a LOT of unsuspecting BUYERS and SELLERS! The UK house price crash started just over a year ago and house prices in the UK have fallen by over £15,000 so far. Things are expected to get worse with many house price forecasts predicting further falls for the remainder of 2023 and throughout 2024.

However, over the next few months there is a high chance that some house price indexes will start to show an improvement in the annual rate of house price falls. This misleading signal could create false hope for sellers and also trick buyers into acting prematurely.

Nationwide and Halifax are two of the largest mortgage lenders in the UK and their house price indexes are usually a helpful indicator of which direction house prices are heading. Unfortunately, in the coming months these HPI's are likely to become confusing as the annual rate of decline temporarily slows.
