We saw a chock full of people who have beef with Tony Stark but the genius billionaire philanthropist playboy has nothing on the wall-crawler in the pages of the comics. The baddies that he’s racked up with him on the top of their hate list have gone so far as to form a super band of supervillains just to take down the one hero. They’ve never managed to rack up a big W and more often than not are victims of their own infighting to the point where they’ve formed more than one time they’ve formed just to take on a former member. It’s a tough club to belong to. Ever since the web-slinger found his way to movie screens seeing that super team of super baddies has been on the top of everyone’s wish list. But how do you do an Evil team up without first populating the cinematic world with people who have beef with the kid from Queens who’s really strong and sticky? Previous franchises haven’t managed to stick around long enough, and the shared universe, while ideally suited to it, still hasn’t populated the spider-verse with the six needed to team up on Spidey. Enter the multiverse where now seven Spidey movies across three franchises can come together and Doctor Octopus can put his signature team into play and see if he can squish the Spider once and for all. There have been a lot of ways this team has put themselves together and the whos and hows of them coming together can give us a clue as to what we’ll see when they swing into theaters this December.
