Exercise at the Act for Camera Class by Alex Murphy at the @Mulholland Academy& Dept of Acting, in Amsterdam. Week #4

Scene: Chris waiting to meet Seth, away from other people, in private...

Seth, enters, sits, has paper and pen in hand..

Chris: What’s this all about? You okay?
Seth: I need you to sign a “sell ticket" for a client of mine..a.. aaa..I got arrested last night. The FBI arrested me.

Chris: Wha.. The FBI? Why the hell would the FBI arrest you?
Seth: Because of my involvement in..in the firm.
Chris: Your involvement..? Just what does that mean?
Seth: Come on, Chris. You know what that means.
Chris: ..My god, What the did you tell them?
Seth: …They knew everything…they had photographs. They had tape recorded conversations. They brought my father in.. ..there was nothing I could do.
Chris: shit!

Seth: ..the FBI is going to raid our office in twenty minutes.
Chris: What are you talking about..!
Seth: Come on, man- I asked you for months about the real shit going down here and you told me to shut up and get ready to be a millionaire/
Chris: /Yea, that’s right, that’s all you had to do, ever, just shut. up! Didn’t you learn anything?
Seth: Yea, I learned how to screw people out of their money.
Chris: well, yea, That’s what we do here/
Seth: /yea..We lie. We’re liars.

Chris: ..Jesus Seth, there’s… Who are they coming for?
Seth: They’re coming for everyone. They’re coming for everything.
Chris: ….do you know how hard I worked/
Seth: /Right now, what you should be thinking about is what are you going to do in the next fifteen minutes. Because they are going to come in here and they are going to make sure that we never trade an-other share of stock again. But we can do something.
Chris: ..and what the hell is that?
Seth: I need a senior broker to sign the “sell ticket” so, Harry, my client, he can take his shares and dump them on the open market and make his money back… ..come on, Chris. Come on, what’s the difference? ..lets just do one thing right here. please..just sign it..

..Chris signs…….

Seth: ..Thank you… I’m sorry, I really am…
