Aside from his basketball achievements, Michael Jordan is also known for his successful line of basketball shoes with Nike, known as the "Air Jordans." The first Air Jordan sneakers were released in 1985, and they revolutionized the athletic shoe industry. The partnership between Jordan and Nike grew into a highly successful and iconic brand, with numerous releases and iterations of the Air Jordan line. The shoes became popular not only among basketball players but also in the broader sneaker and fashion culture.

Even after retiring from basketball, Jordan remained involved in the sport as an owner. He became the principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets, an NBA team. Jordan's impact on basketball, sports culture, and fashion is immeasurable, and he continues to be a highly influential figure globally.
