The Philippine national women's football team, Filipinas, secured another historic first by winning their first AFF Championship title against Thailand, 3-0, before a packed Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on July 17, 2022.

Thailand bagged the silver medal, while Myanmar secured the bronze. Previous champion Vietnam was relegated to fourth place.
