It's also a steam separator, I think, although you can correct me if I'm wrong. I made this out of plumbing fittings mostly and I hope it will help me on my quest to build a steam engine from bits and pieces around the workshop.

I'm going to guess that a few people who will worry that this will explode, so I'll just say this now - THERE'S A HOLE IN THE TOP TO LET THE STEAM OUT!
