This is the 1988 commercial for the Star Trek convention promoted by myself and my partner, Joe Motes (who did Star Trek conventions in Florida for 30 years). This aired on television during first run episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation to promote our convention.

The voice for the first 30 second spot is mine when I was 16 years old.

Take a close look at the rank insignia on Dr. McCoy, we altered it to have an extra bar in the middle and had prizes ready for anyone that noticed it.

De and his wife Caroline were absolutely wonderful people. I miss them immensely.
