Tamron is releasing the 17-70 For Sony APSC cameras like the a6400 a6600 and a6100. After using this lens for the last month I feel I can easily say this is the best lens you could buy for a Sony APSC camera. The Tamron 17-70 is light weight, small, versatile and delivers fantastic image quality over almost the entire zoom range. The 17-70 f2.8 means it also performs well in low light for astrophotography, and since it has image stabilization built into the lens it can make an excellent lens for handheld filming and photography work! To test the tamron 17-70 I took it with me on a few trips in Alaska and even compared and tested it against the Sony 16-55 f2.8 G lens. Over all The Tamron 17-70 f2.8 is a fantastic lens and easily one of the best For Sony APSC cameras.
