Nationals MP Keith Pitt says Energy Minister Chris Bowen has “belled the cat” with Labor’s $40 billion commitment to renewable energy.

Mr Pitt joined Sky News host Chris Kenny to discuss the future of energy in Australia.

“For my sins, I read Chris Bowen’s press release,” Mr Pitt said.

“He’s belled the cat … he says Labor has committed $40 billion into wind and solar.

“40 billion … and what have you got? You still have a network that doesn’t work, transmission lines that aren’t built.”
