Hello dear friends,
In this video tutorial you can see how to make a diorama lamp showing a dangerous volcano eruption threatening a city of skyscrapers.
I wanted to make it look like it is moments before the disaster /destruction
For the buildings I used the Anycubic Photon Mono SE 3D printer. The 3D file I used for the buildings is as follows:
"city of the scape byadamrw91is licensed under theCreative Commons - Attribution - Share Alikelicense.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33301" I then cut the city in various building blocks and also glued some buildings together
depending on how I wanted the city near the volcano to look.
I created the Volcano and the landscape from Polymer Clay.
After I baked it for 30minutes I painted with Acrylic colors.
I also painted the skyscrapers and the buildings with acrylic colors.
For the lava inside the volcano and the lava flow I used UV resin with red and yellow color
Then I created the volcanic ash cloud with cotton and UV resin which I painted with my airbrush.
For the lamp's illumination I used smalled LED lights powered by 2 watch batteries.
After I finalized the diorama and glued all the parts in their place , I poured clear epoxy resin.
Once the resin has cured I wet sanded and polished same, then created a wooden base, connected the wires/batteries
and it was finished.
This epoxy resin art project turned out awesome and I hope that you will like it too.
Thank you for watching and see you again soon.
All the best
