In this video, I assemble the avionics for DIAMOND-X, my actively controlled model rocket. The avionics include the GPS antenna, datalink radio, cameras, fin servos, and wiring. All of that connects to the flight computer, which is the rocket's brain. Up next in this series, we paint the airframe, do ground tests, and build the boosters that will launch the Block 3 version of this rocket higher and faster than ever. I also have a deep dive video on the flight computer in the works, so stay tuned for that too.

In the US, there are no specific legal restrictions on putting active control systems on model rockets. If you want to get started in active control, the r/Rocketry discord is a great place to learn from folks with lots of active control experience. Make sure you check your local laws and keep safety your #1 priority at launches!

NOTE: I am not supplying files for CAD, PCBs or flight software
