Maersk Supply Service's multi-purpose Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS) MAERSK TRACKER tows Italian offshore service provider Saipem's trench/pipelay barge CASTORO 10 through Istanbul strait towards Black Sea on June 6th, 2022. The CASTORO 10 will work for Turkish oil and gas company TPAO on gas developments in the Black Sea. Offshore operations will start on the Sakarya gas field under a contract awarded in November 2021. The contract entails the transportation and installation of pipelines to a 2,200-meter water depth.
