A Letter of Appreciation!
I presented at Chesapeake Bay Middle School in Pasadena, Maryland. It was a very special day. I believe we all have a letter of appreciation we need to write. Maybe it's to your mom, dad, grandparents, coach, teacher, friend sibling, principal, someone who has made an impact in your life. They will be so happy but the happiest person will be you, because you will never have regrets.
Every week I present our “Choices” program in front of thousands of students and realize we do have challenges, but I think there has been so much unwarranted negativity towards our next generation. We hear so much doom & gloom. When we see negative news day after day it can bring you down and become depressing. But I also see the other side of the human spirit, students that have empathy and compassion for each other. They are world changers, future leaders, brilliant minds that have hope for a better future. Students that have bounced back and overcome adversity. They have beautiful hearts that help others. They are the driving force to make our world a better place.

I will replace negative thoughts with hopeful thoughts, I will love those and be patient with others. I will forgive those who hurt me including myself. I will make a conscious effort to make people feel special. Today I will choose to be happy!
