Today I installed an SRT 4 2.25 bar map sensor in the hemi 5.7 Dodge Charger. When you are adding boost to an NA vehicle, it will require a different map sensor in order for the pcm to read the extra air pressure in the engine.
The sensor can be used complete, if you purchase a MAP adapter. I chose not to spend 100$ on a simple adapter when I can adapt it myself. I did end up securing the map sensor to the intake with a little bit of jb weld between the map sensor and the tab on the intake manifold. If you plan to do this, keep in mind that the pcm will need to be tuned in order for this to run right. I showed what will happen if you don’t tune it.
