When you last saw us, we were pushing the kids to try new things. So it's only fair that the parents (well, Dad) do the same, right? While not new, ramen is a staple in Japanese cuisine. It's our favorite dish from Japan certainly, but it might be our favorite overall! It's that good. So we felt it appropriate to start there. We went in search of the hottest ramen we could find.

We scoured the internet, looked at reviews, asked Twitter, etc. It all came down to one place. Mouko Tanmen Nakamoto. Their Hiyashi Miso Ramen is the spiciest ramen they have on the menu - it receives a level ten.- so that's the target. We saw it referred to as "LAVA Ramen" and that sealed the deal.

How'd it turn out? Well...

FYI: Shout out to our favorite Ramen place in Tokyo... Rishiri Ramen in Shinjuku! That might make an appearance, here.
