The Prayer Hall at the MCC (with overfill areas) accommodates more than 800 worshipers, but for a few precious minutes each month we clear out the prayer space for a reciter to express their love for the Qur'an by reciting their favorite verses with melody and beauty.

The MCC Mic Check series is a teen-initiated effort. The series is curated by Muslim Student Association (MSA) at California High School in San Ramon.

About Ameena's Qur'anic Selection:
The Surah derived its name from the word an-Naba in the second verse. This is not only a name but also a title of its subject matter, for Naba implies the news of Resurrection and Hereafter and the whole Surah is devoted to the same theme.
