How does Toyota's Land Cruiser drive on-road? You'll have to check out our Lexus GX video for that because sadly our time with the Land Cruiser was strictly off-road and not on the most challenging course I've ever seen. Bottom line however: Toyota has finally worked the kinks out of their RWD hybrid system. This is notably smoother than the Tundra or Sequoia hybrid thanks to additional software refinements, although the fuel economy numbers leave a bit to be desired. Yes, it is the most efficient gas powered off-road SUV I've driven, but not by as much as you'd think...
