In September 2019, WeWork canceled its Initial Public Offering. At the time, the consensus opinion was that WeWork would collapse shortly. One year later, WeWork is still in business and is even projected to become profitable in 2022. The new CEO, Sandeep Mithrani, has cut 7,500 jobs, has renegotiated leases with landlords, and has shut down multiple locations. Recently, Mr. Mithrani has even said that a new Initial Public Offering may be in the works.
