Special history about this church:
The 900-year-old Kaufmannskirche (Merchant's Church) in Erfurt, Germany, holds a special significance as the familial church of the Bach family. Within the church records, over 60 entries document baptisms, weddings, and funerals of this esteemed Erfurt musical lineage. Notably, in 1668, Johann Sebastian Bach's parents were married here. Following their relocation to Eisenach, the church continued to host regular "Bach family days," attracting visits from Johann Sebastian Bach himself to Erfurt.'
