Does anyone else remember when NASCAR rookies were competing for wins and finishing in the top 10 in points. From 1999 to 2002, this was a thing that actually happened consistently, but now now it's a rarity to see rookies winning races in NASCAR. Today, let's look back on the time period that I refer to as the Golden Age of NASCAR rookies, the time that produced Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson, and Ryan Newman. This group of drivers have combined for more than 300 career wins and 13 championships. I truly believe that the 2002 rookie class (Johnson and Newman) was the best rookie class in NASCAR history. Thank you so much for watching and have a great day!
