There are so many different jobs on a farm, and our morning commute is measured in steps not miles. When I see the cars go by our house, I'm so happy I'm not doing that anymore! Today is a collection of small jobs: doing the chores, cleaning out the pigs pens, moving the Dexter cattle to new pasture, and packing for farmers market. Among them, I give a detailed explanation of how we set up temporary fences for strip grazing the cattle and talk about the importance of leaving trampled grass in the pasture vs. methods such as "zero grazing." I also spend some time while packing for market telling the story of how I got my first job in architecture. And I'm happy I'm not doing that anymore too!

Note:
-We do not offer farm tours
