In this episode we clean out and clean up an old rusty fuel tank.
After stripping off all the old underbody rubber spray we stripped all the paint down to bare metal, used some wax and grease remover and then sprayed 3 coats of SPI 2 part Epoxy primer out of a Devilbiss Tekna spray gun using a 1.3 fluid nozzle and the TE20 Air cap. Then after that cured for a day we layed on two coats SPI black Base coat and followed that up with 3 coats of SPI CLEAR.
It came out beautifully and then capped off the bottom half of the gas tank with a couple coats of Raptor Liner to match up with our undercarriage restoration.
I had already uploaded this video prior but knew I had filmed the actual talking points of this process and then spraying the raptor liner. After editing another video I had found the missing footage and decided to re-edit this series and add in that missing link!
Hope you guys and gals enjoy!
