One year ago, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe embarked on a journey to reverse diabetes in their community. What seemed like an impossible journey (given the disproportionately high prevalence of type 2 diabetes in Native Americans) turned out to be a groundbreaking success. While other diabetes solutions have failed to make any sizable impact in this population, they were able to see transformative success with Virta.
